I invite you to indulge, with tasteful adventures to erase the line in the sand between what's healthful and what's delicious, transforming the humble veggie and simple dinners into something extraordinary...
Ditch the plain broiled broccoli and learn how to prepare vegetables in delicious, interesting ways. In this unique Chef’s Table experience, let’s use the analogy of an artist. You as the cook are the artist and spices are your paints – they can bring a blank canvas (or dish) to life! They allow you to be creative and adventurous with your cooking and best of all, they prevent you from eating another bland meal.
We welcome you to the Chef's Table experience dinner in the comforts of your own home. With a chef’s choice, multi-course menu and family-style servings, your party will feel right at home. On my chef’s table, every meal will be an adventure– a unique menu of fresh and seasonal ingredients that includes appetizers, vegetables, whole-wheat bread, rice, and accompaniments. Finish off the meal with dessert and traditional chai. You are more than welcome to bring your own wine!
The menu will vary each month and the dishes are balanced for a nutritious, complete meal. Chef Smita's vegetarian cooking workshops are hands-on, informative and interactive. Each three-hour workshop is followed by a sit-down meal! So, bring your enthusiasm and appetite to learn, cook and enjoy a fun filled time with Smita

Cost: $80 plus tax per person. Limit 6 participants per workshop.
Travel charges: $50.
Chef Smita also holds a Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate from The T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies and eCornell.
The following is a SAMPLE menu. Please note that every Chef’s Table experience will be unique and up to the Chef’s discretion.
FIRST COURSE | Spinach, Fenugreek and Garlic Curry, or Eggplant Potato Curry (or any seasonal vegetables) served with whole-wheat roti
SECOND COURSE | Lentil Sambhar served with peas pulao or Mung Dal Rice (Khichadi) with yogurt chaas
DESSERT | gajar ka halwa, a warm carrot pudding, served with vanilla ice cream
CHAI | traditional ginger turmeric chai to warm the heart after a full meal
